TREE CANOPY
AND THIS IS HOW THEY WILL LOOK.
Hopefully (!) they'll look a bit like this when they grow up:-
This is the effect that we were going forÂ… you can see that they are more 'delicate' than the London plane, but if you plant them close together (like we tried to do in sections of Norwood), you get a kind of 'colonade' effect as the canopies merge and the trunks begin to emulate the function of organic decorative 'columns'.
If we can achieve this (i.e., if they survive!), then the effect on Norwood will be very sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing without being overwhelming or causing any problems to the shop foundations with the roots.
