NORTH DULWICH BRIDGE UPDATE

NORTH DULWICH BRIDGE   CLOSURE PENDING LATEST

There has been some activity but work on the bridge per se cannot start until they have received listed building  consent.

Work has however started on preparatory work – the road under the bridge in Village Way has been lowered (but not by much) for the 37 bus to pass under, and the geometry of the sharp bend at the junction of Village Way and Half Moon Lane has been reconfigured so that the P4 bus can turn.

Whether either of these modifications has yet been tested I know not.

There is a Dulwich Community Council  planning meeting next Tuesday,
UPDATE - The application came before the DCCpc and was granted listed building consent.
Bridge closure is expected to happen shortly
and a full planning committee meeting on Tuesday 22,  so we may know more after that.

The planning application can be found at

Hope that is of help.

Kind regards
Mike Colvin
