SOUTHWARK LICENSING REVIEW INFORMATION FROM CLLR TOBY ECKERSLEY
Your circulation list should be aware that public consultation has just opened on Southwark's Review of its Statement of Licensing Policy. The notice was published in yesterday's "Southwark News", from which the following are extracts:
"Your views are invited on the new draft Southwark alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshment licensing policy"
"The statement of policy is intended to set out how the authority aims to promote the four licensing objectives dealing with crime and disorder, safety, nuisance and the protection of children"
"Comments are invited on any aspect of the policy. These should be made in writing to the Southwark Health Safety and Licensing Unit, The Chaplin Centre, Thurlow St, London SE17 2DG by Friday 30 November 2007. A copy of the draft policy can be obtained by contacting the Unit directly on 020 7525 5748 or by e-mail to licensing@southwark.gov.uk.
