BRIXTON REC

Open Day at Brixton Rec - 28 July

Lambeth Council will be holding a family open day at Brixton Recreation centre on Saturday 28 July, from 8am to 8pm.

Where: Brixton Recreation Centre, 27 Brixton Station Road, Brixton SW9

When: Saturday 28 July 2007, 8am-8pm. Admission free.

There will be lots of free taster sessions from 10am till 4pm and both adults and children will have the chance to try out some of the exciting new equipment. Activities on offer include GLL FC (football), basketball, reactive sports walls, dance mats, London Swim School taster session, fencing, KWIK cricket, trampolining and swimming. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the staff, see the crèche and find out more about the complete refurbishment of the centre.

The centre is currently undergoing a £2.85 million refurbishment which will make it a vibrant and friendly family venue, benefiting the whole community for many years to come.
