NEIGHBOURHOOD WORKING

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT THE NEW WAY FORWARD.
 
Neighbourhood  Partnerships.( np)
     
  A  NP is and organisation rooted within a defined neighbourhood ( which maybe located within a war across wards, or indeed boroughs) which exists to improve the co-ordination of services  between the statutory, 3rd.   and private sectors within the defined neighbourhood.
 
Safer Neighbourhoods Panels 
 
The SNP brings together local policing resources , ward Councillors local community Representatives, alongside other partners to work together to reduce crime and disorder and improve people's quality of life through strong cohesive neighbourhoods, where people are proud to live, work ,learn and prosper.
Resources will be sought to support  the ward councillor  to deliver quick response to address small issues within the ward, such as minor piece of remedial work or small contribution towards a local community festival or event.,
 
Area Conferences: 
ACs bring together the key stakeholders within a locality, including businesses, voluntary  and community groups, statutory service providers, social enterprises Safer Neighbourhood Panels, tenant and residents groups etc. The purpose of the AC is to assess the overall priorities and influence strategic commissioning of services in the locality.
