BRIXTON CENTRAL SQUARE
BRIXTON CENTRAL SQUARE ANOTHER STEP CLOSER.
The Brixton Area Committee was told tonight that all funding is in place. £3.5m from Transport for London and £4.5million from London Development Agency. It is hoped to have the planning process completed by September.
The scheme will integrate all the spaces , Tate Gardens Windrush Square and St Matthews Peae Gardens. The road in front of the Town Hall, Brixton Hill A23 will become two way with only buses being permitted through Effra Road , 2,432,3,37,196,,415, and schools services ..Safety within the reshaped open space featured high on the design priorities.
The latest pamphlet indicates buses and cars through Effra Road, so clarification need on that point.
There will be an exhibition at the the Central Library, Tate Gardens from 14-25 May
SATURDAY 19TH MAY THERE WILL BE A PUBLIC EVENT IN TATE GARDENS 10AM-4PM WHEN OFFICERS WILL BE ON HAND TO ANSWER QUESTIONS
