Should Lambeth have a young Mayor?
What would be the benefits of having a young Mayor?
Well, for starters, you would get to choose who it would be. - A youth Mayor would provide, for the first time, borough-wide election opportunities for young people;
- Create an opportunity for young people to actually see thier views being used through a postal election process;
- Allow young people to be decision makers and shape services as they see fit;
- Enable young people to share their views on their priorities for change.
Once elected the youth Mayor will be designated a fund of £25,000 to enable the youth Mayor and their advisors to allocate to and improve services aimed at young people.
