BROCKWELL TREE CASULATIES OR THE ROSENDALE PLAYGROUND ARRIVES UNEXPECTEDLY.
Thanks to Peter Bradley for this report
The high winds of the last week have felled at least three trees. The most dramatic event was one large poplar blowing over and bringing down a smaller one in its path. They are on the Hall side of the main path, near the Rosendale Road Gate. Yesterday afternoon, Sunday, January 14, they were being clambered over by children (and some adults) and snapped by the local papparazzi.
The other tree - sycamore? I'm not good on tree ID - is on the Hall side of the 1960s changing rooms; like the other, just torn by the wind.
Very dramatic, all three. Do I hear the phrase, 'global warming'?
