Brief Overview

This work is part of a Borough wide programme to improve street lighting under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI).
The Council believes the benefits to residents will include among other things:
  1. Brighter and safer streets.

  2. Reduction in crime and fear of crime.

  3. Reduction in road traffic accidents.

  4. Reduction in personal injury accidents.

  5. Increased use of night time public transport.

  6. Increased use of local facilities at night.

  7. Enhancement of the environment generally.

Agenda
The meeting will present an opportunity for local residents and stakeholders to discuss any issues regarding the replacement of the old lighting stock in their area.
