LIDO BUILDING TO START SOON

the sun is shining ? warming the sparkling water as it trickles into the pool....
and yes.... the Lido will be open for swimming this Monday 19th June 2006
and yes.... lawyers have resolved differences so that Lambeth and Fusion can sign a contract giving Fusion a 25-year lease on the pool
and yes.... as we write architects (PTEA) and builders (Cosmur) are finalising plans for building work to begin with completion planned before the swimming season in 2007. Thames water will begin diverting that awkward section of water main in six to eight weeks.
In order for the pool to open promptly next June building might have to begin before this season ends. Fusion will give as much notice as possible of any disruptions or short closures before September 3. Watch BLU?s web site for updates.
In the meantime----The unreconstructed Lido Experience will once again be available and in the capable hands of Paddy and Casey together with Fusion?s Lido manager Rob Pagano:
