BROCKWELL PARK LOTTERY BID
Your chance to influence the proposals going to the Heritage Lottery Fund in March.
There are two contentious issues.
RELOCATION OF THE PADDLING POOL OPTIONS STILL TO BE DECIDED
DEMOLITION OF THE CHANGING ROOM BLOCK.
An alternative proposal by Whippersnappers to relocate there bringing inward investment and save £60k demolition costs has been thwarted not to mention the environmental costs.
The Friends of Brockwell Park in their latest Newsletter give justification for supporting the retention of the changing rooms ( at least in theory) ONE OCLOCK CLUB- It was the first in London established by the GLC in response to demands for a place in the park for all weather play for under fives and a meeting place for their parents and carers. This is exactly what Whippersnappers does..and a lot more...........
