SHORT-TERM PARKING FOR (CARLTON) HERNE HILL PARADE
Following a campaign started as a "soap-box" item in the Herne Hill Forum over two years ago, and strongly backed by traders and local Councillors, the introduction of the bays is scheduled for August.
There'll be 5 x 20 minute bays on Herne Hill itself, 3 or 4 in Elfindale Road (where the yellow lines are so there will be no loss of parking for residents) and one bay in Frankfurt Road. This is great news for this vital parade of shops.
Watch this space for the starting date.
HERNE HILL VIBRATIONS
Residents will be pleased to learn that the resurfacing work will now take place in 2006 rather than the original and distant 2007.
It is essential that this item is closely monitored.
