HERNE HILL RESURFACING on hold
Lambeth Council Highways Department advises that there are no plans at present to resurface this major road before 2007. The recent very large petition to Council, signed by residents on both sides of the street, urges action during 2005. Homes, schools and shops are all suffering from the severe vibrations caused by heavy vehicles and buses.
The Herne Hill Forum has highlighted this issue on several occasions and will continue to press the Highways Department for immediate action.
