PULLENS ALLEY IS NO MORE.
Thanks to local historian Jeff Doorn we can now tell you that
correct title is Vyse's alley after Thomas Vyse who sold the land on which the Station stands in 1860.
Intrepid sleuth Jeff also tells me that the so called Herne Hill Parade between Elfindale and Frankfurt was originally called
Carlton parade after the grand house that stood on that site.
both names fell into to disuse and Jeff is campaigning to have them restored.
