PULLENS ALLEY IS NO MORE.
Thanks to local historian Jeff Doorn we can now tell you that
correct title is Vyse's alley after Thomas Vyse who sold the land on which the Station stands in 1860.
Intrepid sleuth Jeff also tells me that the so called Herne Hill Parade between Elfindale and Frankfurt was originally called
Carlton parade after the grand house that stood on that site.
both names fell into to disuse and Jeff is campaigning to have them restored.

A THEATRE MUST
Opening at the White Bear Kennington this week
Round the Horne.......revisited.
There were four writers for this cult radio prgramme in the 50's 60s attracting 15 million listeners. The famous ones were Barry Took and Marty Feldman also Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke who is the sole survivor author of this play.

Southwark traffic officers have now agreed to include 30 min free parking bays no return 2 hours outside Norwood Road parade nos 51 to 75( part) 7am till 7pm rest 10am till 4pm.

Officers from Southwark and Lambeth met to disucss a common approach to the Croxted Road.. The final outcome of this is not known although promises were made work out a common solution.

RUBBISH AT 17 NORWOOD ROAD.
Apologies for this accumulation there is a dispute between Lambeth and Southwark and we are trying to resolve the management issues. ( apparent for the last 12 months.) The boundary Road is Southwark and getting them to at least address the short term clearance is in itself not easy.
