CANNABIS FESTIVAL IN BROCKWELL PARK
FURTHER EVIDENCE OF THE NEED FOR A PROPER MANAGEMENT INFRASTUCTURE .

The fifth annual festival took place in Brockwell Park on Saturday 3rd. May. About 20 thousand came and there are two main issues . Firstly was the lack of toilets and what ensued as a result of this. Fair dues to Team Lambeth who serviced and opened the ladies and gents toilets adjacent to the BRITISH GAS compound. ( closed for more years than I can remember. Thanks also to Victor Chin-Kit who made available the staff toilets in the Stable lodge. The park was a very untidy state on Sunday and also on Monday morning.
Participants were urninating publicly all over the Park . The Beeches area , which thanks to Lee Hills ring of fallen wood was kept completely clear , became a giant urinal. Considerable defecation took place in the area between HH gate toilets and the Lido carpark entrance. The evidence is still there. The shrubbery to the right of the entrance to the Greenhouse Site was also used as was the area around the GAS STATION . I actually passed this spot on Saturday about 6.30pm to be faced with a large backside peering out. I averted my gaze tout suite. The Forum will seeking a postevent review with Paul Grobler assistant director environmental services .
