VELODROME GOES TO THE OMBUDSMAN.

Residents in Burbage Road have raised issues on the proposals for regenerating the Velodrome.
They include the scale of development within a residential area and chiefly within a designated Metropolitant Open Land area.
The planning committee did not have available to them the traffic impact assessment ..
The residents quote the HomeBase proposal for Dog Kennell Hill which was turned down.
This does not compare well with the Velodrome.
The Velodrome existed before is was awarded MOL status and that status was granted in a blanket form
to every green space and playing field in the Dulwich area to safeguard their primary function continued.
Dog Kennell site as a playingfield and Velodrome as such.
It seems that the Council have also referred the residents case to an independent consultant. In view of the
the recent history in the planning department this is not surprising.

HALF MOON LANE ALTERATIONS TO IMPROVE BUS FLOW.

Southwark,in consultation with Dulwich Society and local residents directly affected are planning amongst other things to remove parking bays between Burbage Road and Winterbrook Road south side and
most of the bays in that same stretch on the North side but leaving 47/53 ish.

The Forum are questioning the process as parking bays have been operational for 3 months only.
and it seems wasteful to be planning to removce them at this stage.
There were few objections bus at consultation with residents took place on a restricted basis this is not surprising

LAMBETH OPPORTUNITIES FUND.

The council awarded £1m for the Brockwell Park Lottery and a sum of £700K for library capital works.
part of which will be used to repair the roof at the CARNEGIE.

BROCKWELL PARK HERNE HILL GATE ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

The Forum has contacted the members of the task force. There hasnt been any improvement.TheNew Parks Rangers are making thenmselves known and time will be able to instigate effective measures.
However some of theose that congregate will need a "wet facility" some where they can drink their cans.
