HALF MOON LANE FLOODING. GULLIES REPLACE.
Alert local resident Steve Thorpe caught Thames Water replacing some gullies in Half Moon Lane on examination they had been completely taken over by tree routes-
So much for the cyclical maintenance programme

Three hours and I am at a loss to determine what was achieved. A statement was issued on the flooding but nothing was said and no response was made to comments made.

MILKWOOD OPEN SPACE

was opened today after at 300K complete redesign. The opening ceremony was conducted by the mayor Irene Kimm and Councillor Clare Whelan Executive memeber for parks.
Clr Anthony Bottrall attended along with about 200 local residents. Val Shawcross the newly relected GLA member for Lambeth and Southwark dropped by.
Milkwood Residents Association laid on a wonderful buffet.
The parkwill benefit from its own park warden starting shortly.

ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR BROCKWELL PARK
STARTS AND FURTHER INFORMATION

A planning meeting was held at the park on Thursday involving various agencies, Parks Rangers Police St Giles and St Mungo Community and Lambeth's Street Population officer.
The operation will take place over the summer with a view
to gradual rehabilitation and displacement .
Inspector Ralph Hyde has already called on all the Off Licences asking them co-operate by not selling drink to drunk people and advising them about other related issues.

ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVOUR NEXT TO BROCKWELL PARK.

A meeting was convened by James Priestman Community Safety officer to develop a startegy for dispersing the problems caused by aggressive behaviour amongst the
drinkers at Herne Hill Gate.
Representatives included Lambeth Parks Officer.Parks Ranger,
Police, St Mungo and St.Giles homeless people officer.
A plan will be presented to the Forum on 29th at our public meeting.

FLOODING

Clr Clare Whelan has confirmed that thet are working jointly with Southwark on addressing issues relating to the flooding. They also intend to have joint dialogue with
Thames Water and the Emergency services.
This is good news . We are tryin to find out to what extent the relief system between Burbage Road and Water Lane put in about 25 years ago coped with the emergency.

BROCKWELL PARK HERNE HILL GATE ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

James Priestman Community Safety Officer will be coming to the Forum on 29th June to get consensus on a solution to the unwelcoming atmosphere and anti social behaviour
at the Herne Hill Gate.
Meeting at Half Moon Lane Baptist Church 7pm 29th June
corner of Winterbrook Road.

CRIME IN HERNE IN THE LAST FEW DAYS.

There were at least three incidents on Wednesday two in the station and a serious sexual assault in the Park,late evening.
The Forum is speaking to the Police Ward Manager Duncan Harris and James Priestman Community Safety Officer about
policing around funfairs and circuses .
The first job will be to look at the crime stats for the period 13th May to 6th June. .
