JUNCTION FUNDING

Now that we know the junction funding bid has been successful the Forum traffic group is working closely with Lambeth Transport to get a consultation process going hopefull by end of January with ideas and options and opportunity for input.

HERNE HILL RAIL BRIDGE

We expect that the pidgeon proofing removed in April will shortly be replaced.

CAFE PROVENCAL AND UNDER RAILBRIDGE

After months of asking this bit of Half Moon Lane is now getting swept after 12 months neglect.

HERNE HILL PARADE ( NOW CARLTON PARADE.)

COMMUNITY AWARD

This weeks award must go to Danny Statiuon Supervisor at Herne Hill who spotted a young woman about 20 in great distress who had just been mugged in BrockwellPark last Friday 5th about 4pm. Danny took her to the station office and shortly after 6 British Transport Police arrived to reassure and help.

LAMBETH POLICE CONSULTATIVE GROUP

Mothly meeting abandoned as a result of a festering dispute over the banning of a group member.An entire evenings consultation with the borough Commander Dick Quinn and senior offcers was lost. Thge group has been dominated by this iussue for three molnths and its a handful of people leading this issue.Everyone else is being prevented from focusing on the business of the group viz policing.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCHED ON 5TH DEC.

The tree had fallen down earlier in the week but thanks to the efforts of Lee Hills Parks officer and Raj Lambeth Lighting everything was in place for Brian Klixoll to switch on with mince pies and mulled wine supplied by Pullens and Kindred Bakers.
Thanks alos to Escape bar for hosting buffet afterwards.
